What is UFI FREE? 🌿
UFI FREE is an internal indicator developed by Aspol Scentra to help candle makers and manufacturers understand the maximum safe fragrance dose in a candle.
The system is based on health and environmentally friendly databases and determines the concentration at which a particular fragrance composition can be used without the need to register a UFI code or submit a Poison Center Notification (PCN).
UFI FREE value – this % indicates the maximum odour concentration at which:
– finished product does not require a UFI code,
– does not require EUH warning labels,
– candle can carry a“white label”.
In addition, the UFI FREE label indicates that the product has a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) containing a three-step simulation of the use of fragrance in a soy candle – this analysis is performed after the fragrance blend has been classified according to its composition.
Thanks to this system, candle makers can work according to clearer and safer guidelines, ensuring the safety, compliance and professional appearance of their products.
