Eucalyptus essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the leaves of the Eucalyptus globulus tree. The oil is clear to pale yellow in colour and has a characteristic fresh, cooling and slightly camphoraceous aroma.
The main active ingredient is eucalyptol (cineole), which gives the oil its cleansing and respiratory support properties.

IFRA and safety
Eucalyptus Globulus essential oil does not contain any components directly banned by IFRA and is generally allowed in various products.
- Can be used (according to IFRA categories and limits):
- body care products (creams, lotions, deodorants)
- in perfumery and fragrances
- sepides
- in home fragrances and candles
Important:
– follow IFRA maximum use levels (e.g. deodorants ~16%, creams up to ~75% theoretical limit)
– always use diluted
– do not use on infants or facial area (especially under 3-10 years)
