Golden Wax R45+ is a premium grade canola wax for glass candle jars made from hydrogenated European canola oil. The wax is produced by AAK, a Swedish company well known as a producer of high quality vegetable candle waxes.
This wax has been developed specifically to achieve:
- smooth and even surface
- glossy finish
- strong odour absorption
- slow and clean combustion
- fewer cracks and frosting (frosting)
The melting point of Golden Wax R45+ ranges from around 46-52°C, making it ideal for glass candles, scented candles and wax melt products. Due to its soft consistency, only rapeseed wax R45 is not well suited for pillar candles, but works very well as a blend.
Directions for use
Melt the wax at: 70-75°C
Add the fragrance oil: 60-70°C
Pour into a container: 50-60°C
Leave to stand: 48h-14 days, depending on the fragrance.

Why choose rapeseed wax instead of Soy Wax?
1. European origin
Most Soy Wax comes from America or Asia, while Golden Wax R45+ is based on rapeseed grown in Europe and produced in Sweden. This means a shorter supply chain and a smaller environmental footprint of transport.
2. Less frosting
Soy Wax often develops a white “frosting” due to crystallisation. R45+ is designed to reduce this problem.
