Mica powder – a shimmering effect for soap, candles, and cosmetics
Mica powder is a fine pearlescent pigment derived from a natural mineral that gives products an elegant sheen, a metallic luster, or a pearlescent effect. It is odorless, has a very fine texture, and is suitable for use in many craft and cosmetic projects.

When making candles
Mica powder is not intended for coloring wax, but rather for creating a decorative effect. When added in small amounts, it gives the candle a beautiful pearlescent or metallic sheen.
Recommended use:
- Add a small amount to the melted wax to achieve a decorative effect;
- Use on the surface of a candle or to decorate molded candles;
- It also works well for painting candles with a brush, by mixing mica with a small amount of oil or alcohol.
Important! Too much mica can affect the candle’s burning properties and clog the wick, so it is not recommended as the primary colorant.
