P13 is a special synthetic polymeric wax additive developed for professional candle making. The additive helps improve the structure of the candle wax, regulate crystallization, and enhance the release of fragrance oils from both the cold candle and during burning.
P13 is suitable for use with paraffin, vegetable candle waxes, synthetic waxes, and various wax blends. It is a good choice for candle makers who want to achieve a more uniform surface finish, better fragrance release, and a higher-quality final product.
Key Features and Benefits of the P13
- Improved fragrance release – can enhance the release of fragrance oils from both cold and burning candles.
- Crystallization control – helps even out the wax structure and can reduce unwanted crystallization marks.
- Smoother candle surface – helps reduce the formation of air bubbles and improves the candle’s surface finish.
- More uniform color – supports the even distribution of colorants in the wax and can enhance color intensity.
- Better fragrance oil binding – may increase the wax’s ability to bind fragrance oils.
- Improved wax strength – may make the wax slightly harder and improve the structure of the finished candle.
Usage and Dosage
Recommended usage amount: 0.5–2% of the wax weight.
Per 1 kg of wax: 5–20 g
Add P13 during the melting process or before adding colorant and fragrance oil. Mix thoroughly until the additive has completely melted and blended evenly with the wax.
The recommended addition temperature is 82–89 °C. Follow the temperature recommendations provided by the manufacturer of the candle wax you are using.
Before making a larger batch, we recommend making a small test batch, as the additive may affect the wax’s properties, the binding of the fragrance oil, and the candle’s burn behavior. If necessary, retest the wick’s suitability as well.

Storage and Safety
Store in the original, tightly sealed container in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
When working with hot wax, use appropriate personal protective equipment and follow standard workplace safety guidelines.
P13 is not a standalone candle wax but an additive used in combination with a suitable candle wax. The effect of the additive depends on the wax composition, fragrance oil, amount used, and manufacturing process. The quality and burn safety of the final product must be verified through testing before production for sale.
