Geel wax

Gel wax, also known as candle gel, is a high quality and exceptionally transparent candle wax that allows you to create visually striking and unique gel candles. Its flexible structure, good viscosity and long burn time make it an excellent material for both decorative and practical use.

The transparent formulation allows the addition of various decorative elements such as shells, glass beads, stones or other non-combustible elements, creating eye-catching layered compositions. The gel wax is ideal for beginners as well as for experienced candlemakers who want to give their creations a luxurious and modern look.

The candle holder is also a popular choice for DIY projects, crafts and workshops as it offers a lot of creative freedom and is easy to shape. Thanks to their aesthetic appearance, gel candles are often used as interior design elements, gifts or seasonal decorations.

The melting point of gel wax (nail gel) is usually between 90 and 95 °C. The wax should be melted slowly and evenly, avoiding overheating, to maintain maximum transparency and quality. Excessive heat may cause bubbles to form or clouding of the wax.

It is advisable to use a thermometer and heat the gel wax in a water bath or in a heat-controlled melting pot. Before pouring, make sure that the wax is perfectly clear and homogeneous.

The thickness of the wax should be chosen according to the diameter of the candle and the number of decorative elements. A wick that is too thin may not burn well enough in a gel candle, while a wick that is too thick may cause excessive heat. Choose a wick one size larger than the paraffin wax – the gel burns denser and needs a slightly stronger pull.
