W405 Stabilizer – a versatile additive for hardening wax and making liquid soaps and shower gels more gel-like. Improves candle appearance and reduces dripping. Also suitable for thickening surfactant-based cosmetic products.

W405 stabiliser is an effective dry granular additive used in nail wax blends as well as in surfactant (surfactant) based personal care products such as liquid soap, shampoo and shower gel.

W405 helps you make candles:

– Strengthen wax and reduce surface tack
– Improve opalescence
– Reduce discolouration and dripping
– Make the end result visually cleaner and more professional

In cosmetics – shower gel, shampoo and liquid soap, the W405 stabiliser helps:

– Increase viscosity, i.e. make the product thicker and gelier
– Stabilize the final consistency, avoiding layering or excess liquid
– Compensate for the effects of fragrance oils, which can make the gel milky or liquid
– Create a familiar gel texture that consumers expect from a shampoo or body wash

The use of W405 is particularly recommended when fragrance oils make the detergent too liquid or cloudy.

Recommended use rate: 0.02%-0.1%. The best starting level is 0,05%. Although more can be added (e.g. up to 1%), this is usually not economically justifiable.
Melting point: 72-76 °C.

Form and packaging: dry granules, available in bags.
Safety: not classified as a dangerous substance (not on ADR/RID list).
