Keragreen rapeseed wax for glass candles is an environmentally friendly choice. Keragreen rapeseed wax comes from plants that grow back and decompose naturally. The wax burns cleanly and is less smoky and sooty. The wax is made mainly from rapeseed grown in and around France.
Using Keragreen rapeseed wax in the manufacture of candles achieves a perfect finish, maximum adhesion to the glass and a very white colour, an appreciated feature. The wax is easy to handle, has a smooth surface, a neutral smell and burns for a long time. Suitable for food contact. 100% vegan friendly. GMO-free.
The wax starts to set at a temperature of 32 – 42 °C. The wax melts at 48-52 °C, with a maximum melting point of 85-90 °C. Fragrance content of the wax is 5 – 8%, maximum 10%. The recommended temperature for the addition of fragrance oil should not be lower than 70 °C. The recommended temperature for the addition of dye powder is 75°C, for the addition of liquid dye and dye powder 70°C. The recommended pouring temperature is 65°C. Larger candles may require a second pour. It is recommended to burn the candle not earlier than 48 hours after pouring.
