Zeni SLS Free Shea Clear is a high quality clear soap base made with natural unrefined shea butter (2%). Shea butter is saponified with NaOH and originates from Ghana. The unrefined shea butter gives the soap a slightly yellowish tint and a delicate nutty fragrance.

Shea butter soap mass solidifies quickly, which makes it particularly suitable for large-scale production and fast demoulding. The very strong adhesion of the layers (by spraying with alcohol) allows the creation of multi-layered and detailed soaps. Less weight shrinkage is an important advantage for long-term storage and packaging.

The soap is SLS-free, which means it does not contain the strong detergent Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. The soap lathers richly, is gentle on the skin and contains no animal ingredients. The product has not been tested on animals.

    How to make soap?

It’s easy to make soap from ready-made soap mix:

    1. Cut the mass into cubes (1-3 cm).
    2. Melt the cubes in a hot water bath at 65-70°C or in a microwave (approx. 400-500 W).
    • Do not let the temperature exceed 75°C.
    • Avoid boiling.

    3. Add aromas and colours.

    • Recommended amount of fragrance oils or essential oils: 10-20 g/kg.
    • You can find the maximum amount of fragrance oil allowed under the relevant IFRA category of fragrance oil – always follow the limits set by IFRA.
    • Add the colourant drop by drop until the desired result is achieved.
    • Shea butter, cocoa butter, almond oil, coconut oil or olive oil can also be added to skin care products if desired. Usually not more than ~15 g/kg is recommended to prevent the soap from becoming too soft. Mix all the additives into the soap mixture and make sure that all the additives are well mixed into the soap mixture.

    4. Pour into the mould and leave to set (about 20-40 min).

On average, 1 kg of soap paste can be used to make about 10 medium-sized soaps. We recommend packaging the finished soap in a film after removing it from the mould to avoid evaporation of moisture.
