Seaweed SLS Free Swirl CLEAR 1kg

6,79

Zeni SLS Free Swirl Clear is a high viscosity melting soap specially formulated to create swirl effects and patterns in handmade soaps. This SLS-free clear soap allows coloured layers and particles to remain in place, making it ideal for design soaps.

The soap paste can be melted in a hot water bath or in a microwave oven (approx. 400-500 W), then fragrance oils, colours and other additives can be added. The soap solidifies in the mould in about 20-40 minutes and is ready to use. Click here for the SDS safety data sheet.

Zeni SLS Free Swirl Clear is a clear, high viscosity soap base designed for swirl patterns and decorative effects. The melted paste has a thicker consistency, so that the layers of different coloured paste do not blend too quickly and swirl patterns remain clearly visible.

Thanks to its high viscosity, this soap blend is also well suited for making exfoliating soaps – small particles such as scrub granules or dried additives are evenly distributed and do not sink to the bottom. The very strong adhesion of the layers (when sprayed with alcohol) helps to create multi-layered design soaps.

Soap shrinks less, which is an important advantage for long-term storage and packaging.

The SLS-free formulation means that the formula does not contain the strong detergent Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, making the soap gentler on the skin while maintaining good lathering properties.

How to make soap?

It’s easy to make soap from ready-made soap mix:

  1. Cut the mass into cubes (1-3 cm).
  2. Melt the cubes in a hot water bath at 65-70°C or in a microwave (approx. 400-500 W).
  • Do not let the temperature exceed 75°C.
  • Avoid boiling.

3. Add aromas and colours.

  • Recommended amount of fragrance oils or essential oils: 10-20 g/kg.
  • You can find the maximum amount of fragrance oil allowed under the relevant IFRA category of fragrance oil – always follow the limits set by IFRA.
  • Add the colourant drop by drop until the desired result is achieved.
  • Shea butter, cocoa butter, almond oil, coconut oil or olive oil can also be added to skin care products if desired. Usually not more than ~15 g/kg is recommended to prevent the soap from becoming too soft. Mix all the additives into the soap mixture and make sure that all the additives are well mixed into the soap mixture.

4. Pour into the mould and leave to set (about 20-40 min).

On average, 1 kg of soap paste can be used to make about 10 medium-sized soaps. We recommend packaging the finished soap in a film after removing it from the mould to avoid evaporation of moisture.
