The SHW series of pre-waxed candle wicks are made of 100% pure natural cotton, on a metal base and 12 cm high. Suitable for use in glass candles and votives. They burn evenly with minimal soot and no fungus. <\/p>

The SHW series of candle wicks are designed to provide professional burning quality for both home candle makers and large scale production. They are FLAT-type wicks<\/strong> that are pre-waxed, comfortably mounted on a metal base and made from 100% pure natural cotton.<\/strong> The height is 12 cm. <\/p>

What is “cleaned cotton”?<\/strong><\/h3>


The cotton from which these wicks are made is specially cleaned and bleached to remove natural oils, dyes and dirt. This process makes the cotton uniformly white, soft and clean, ensuring<\/strong> that the wick burns evenly, cleanly and without any extraneous odours or smoke.<\/strong> This makes the wick particularly well suited to the production of high quality scented and coloured candles. <\/p>

SHW wicks are characterised by clean and stable burning – smoke and soot formation is minimal and “mushrooming” is virtually eliminated. Our own tests Nature Wax C3 with soy wax<\/strong><\/a> (6% fragrance load + liquid dyes) have shown that these waxes burn very well, providing an even flame and good odour diffusion. <\/p>

Suitability and tested results<\/strong><\/h3>


The SHW60 and SHW80 differ mainly in the size of the glass to which they are best suited. For example, on the 10012, the SHW80 worked<\/strong> perfectly, while on the 10036 and 10022<\/strong>, two SHW60s worked<\/strong> best. <\/p>
