It is also suitable for use in wax blends containing stearin. <\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">W-405 helps improve the structure of the wax and the properties of the finished product, and is suitable for enhancing the properties of various candle waxes and wax blends.<\/p>\n<h3>Key Features of the W-405<\/h3>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li><strong>Hardens wax and wax blends<\/strong> \u2014helps make the wax stronger and more stable.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Binds and encapsulates fats<\/strong> \u2014helps bind various fat components more effectively in a wax mixture.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Reduces sticky spots<\/strong> \u2013 helps reduce sticky areas that form on the surface of the wax product.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Increases opacity<\/strong> \u2014gives the wax a hazier, milky, or more opaque appearance.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Helps reduce color changes<\/strong> \u2014may improve the color stability of the wax blend.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Reduces candle dripping<\/strong> \u2014may help reduce or, in the case of certain formulations, prevent wax from dripping during burning.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Suitable for mixtures containing paraffin and stearin.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Recommended serving size<\/h3>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><strong>0.02\u20130.1%<\/strong> of the total mass of the wax mixture.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">A good starting concentration for testing is <strong>0.05%.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">For example:<\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>0.05% per 1 kg of wax = <strong>0.5 g of W-405<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>0.05% per 5 kg of wax = <strong>2.5 g of W-405<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>0.05% per 10 kg of wax = <strong>5 g of W-405<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">W-405 can also be used at higher concentrations, for example up to 1%, but according to the manufacturer, such a high concentration is generally not economically justified.<\/p>\n<h3>Melting point<\/h3>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><strong>72\u201376 \u00b0C<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">W-405 should be added to the wax mixture at a temperature that allows the additive to melt completely and blend evenly with the wax.
