NatureWax C-3 Soy Wax is a high-quality plant-based candle wax designed specifically for making candles poured into Glass Candle Jars and other containers. Developed by the American manufacturer Cargill, this soy-based wax blend is suitable for both beginner candle makers and professional candle production.
NatureWax C-3 is a 100% plant-based wax blend consisting primarily of hydrogenated soybean oil and performance-enhancing plant-based ingredients. The wax contains no paraffin or animal-derived ingredients and is suitable for vegans.
The wax has a light, creamy-white hue and a neutral scent, allowing fragrance oils to come through clearly. NatureWax C-3 is known for its excellent adhesion to glass, even burn, and superb fragrance diffusion both when cold and when burning.

Using NatureWax C-3
Melting: Heat the Soy Wax to approximately 71 °C until it is completely melted. Stir evenly while melting.
Fragrance oil: The manufacturer recommends using 6–9% fragrance oil by weight of the wax. Add the fragrance oil to the melted wax and stir thoroughly to ensure even distribution.
Pouring: Cargill’s recommended pouring temperature is 68–77 °C when the room temperature is 21–27 °C.
In a cooler room (16–21 °C), increase the pouring temperature by approximately 2–5 °C.
In a warmer room (27–32 °C), lower the pouring temperature by approximately 2–5 °C.
The pouring temperature may depend on the Glass Candle Jars, fragrance oil, color, and room temperature. If necessary, experiment with different pouring temperatures to find the best result for your recipe.
Curing: Let the finished candle cool undisturbed at room temperature. We recommend letting the candle sit for at least 48 hours before burning it for the first time. To ensure optimal fragrance diffusion, you can also try a longer curing period of 7–14 days.

Important to know
NatureWax C-3 is a relatively soft Soy Wax that has been developed primarily for making candles poured into Glass Candle Jars and other containers. It is not suitable for making freestanding molded or pillar candles without adjusting the recipe. For molded candles, we recommend using a stronger wax specifically developed for that purpose.
Soy Wax is characterized by the formation of white crystals, or “frosting,” which may appear on the surface or sides of the candle. This is a natural characteristic of plant-based wax and does not affect the candle’s burn. The NatureWax C-3 formula helps reduce this phenomenon but does not eliminate it entirely.
Since Soy Wax reacts to temperature changes, it is important to prevent the candles from cooling too quickly and to avoid large temperature fluctuations in order to achieve the best possible result.
For best results, always test a specific combination of wax, fragrance oil, color, wick, and Glass Candle Jars. The correct wick size depends, among other things, on the diameter of the Glass Candle Jars, the fragrance oil used, and the amount of oil used.
